This course has 10 workshops of 3 hours each - on specific painting career-oriented subjects:
1 - To define myself as an artist: Professional or emerging (biography, CV, artistic statement, portfolio). define my art, artistic harmony that defines my style.
2 - To develop and feed my professional page on Facebook and Instagram: posts, followers, role models (mentors), Hashtags, unwanted people.
3 - To better design my website - all you need to know for a professional look.
4 - To better set up a kiosk and look professional - the essentials.
5 - Registering to a festival or symposium of art - essential elements for submissions.
6 - Customer approach - how to sell your art.
7 - Symposiums, Festival, Art Galleries, Art Stores in Québec - understanding how it works.
8 - Square - how does it work?
9 - The legal side: declaring yourself a professional artist according to the law; knowing the RAAV/CARFAC; organizing your finances; and avoiding fraud and scams.
10 - Defining what sells in 2023-24 - Art trends. Defining your clientele.
Level: This course is open to all levels.
Location: Chalet Jean-Chénier, 515 Jean-Chénier Street (Aylmer sector)

The course will be offered in French, but the instructor is bilingual.
Maximum of 15 participants.
Cost : $ 175 (non member $190)
Regarding the instructor: René-Lyne Charlebois has a Master of Arts from the Laval University; Visual Art High School teacher for 15 years; private painting teacher for 5 years; full-time artist for the last 10 years.
