Description

This course has 10 workshops of 3 hours each. It follows a progressive structure, so it is designed for all levels. Academic drawing has been used for centuries to teach basic drawing. You will learn how to use the line, the contours, high and low lights. This course goes back to the 19thth century and has influenced masters such as Van Gogh, Picasso, and Cézanne. It is part of fine arts institutions and prestigious private studio. This course relies on copies of Greek and Roman sculptures. At the end of this course, you will have acquired essential abilities to produce realistic drawings.

Regarding the instructor: Daniel Jolicoeur has been drawing in a realistic style for the last 40 years. He has also been a watercolorist for the last 21 years.

Level: This course is open to all levels.

Graphite pencils: 3H, HB, 2B and 6B

Kneadable eraser.

Sketchbook 11x14 - 1264 Fabriano or Canson XL

Ruler - 12 inches.

Pantograph set by Accurasee for drawing (available with Amazon)

All other didactic material will be provided and payable to the instructor ($35) on the first day.
