Description

Learn the basics of watercolor using a limited palette to create vibrant watercolor sketches that illustrate important techniques that add to your skills. Each sketch will build upon your knowledge and increase your abilities and subject matter. This is a workshop that will remind you that watercolor is not only about flowers but a multitude of subjects. 

Level: This workshop is open to beginner and intermediate levels.

Location : Chalet Jean-Chénier, 515 Jean-Chénier Street (Aylmer sector)

Date: Every Wednesday, from September 18 to November 20

Hours : 1 PM to 4 PM

The workshop will be offered in French, but the instructor is bilingual.

Maximum of 10 participants.

Cost: $170 (non members $185.00)

Material:

Each participant must have:

Paper towel or cotton cloth

Container for water

2H graphite pencil Eraser and ruler

Hair dryer (optional)

All other didactic material will be provided and payable to the instructor ($60) at the first session.

Regarding the instructor: Linda Girard is an art educator, watercolourist and artisan that has taught ages 8-80 years of age. She uses an impressionist style with a heavy emphasis on texture and a minimalist use of brushstroke. She promotes small sketches to develop watercolor skills to increase facility in the medium.
