The description for advertising purposes will be available soon. Here, then, in its entirety (translated as\nprovided), is the text sent by the artist, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Girard, who submitted the winning theme for the 2025 exhibition.\u00a0
\u201cThe Forces of Nature\u201d are beyond our control and are becoming more intense. While being magnificent, majestic\nintriguing\u2026 so many qualifiers that they could be found in a collective art exhibition. An exhibition with the theme would be our\ntime. It could lead us to an opening. To review in an artistic way the splendor of what surrounds us, its strength, its beauty but\nalso its austerity. Perhaps another way to touch us and give us the taste to act, to do our part\u2026 without waiting to name them,\nthe climatic changes.

\u25baDue to space limitations at Pierre-Debain - Centre Culturel, members will be limited to presenting one two-dimensional\nartwork for hanging on its walls. As well, members will be allowed more than one three-dimensional artwork which is\nnormally placed on a pedestal. All exhibited artwork must be original and recent, and illustrate the theme of this current\nexhibition \u201cForces of Nature\u201d
\u25baThe artist\/artisan is required to pay $5 for the artwork presented.
\u25baThe artists\/artisans must bring their artwork for the jury selection (see below for more information).

Deposit will be August 21st and the morning of August 22nd.

Detailed information regarding the deposit of the artwork will be communicated before August. NEW: Please note that the\ninstallation on the gallery walls is an extremely difficult task and at times impossible if the artwork\u2019s hanging hardware is not\ncorrect and has not been properly done.
Accordingly, suggestions and photos of proper and acceptable hanging hardware will\nbe sent out before the deposit dates.
The jury process is slated for Friday, August 22nd in the afternoon. All other information pertaining to the selection\nof the artwork, the pick-up (if not chosen), the installation will be provided to you before or when you bring your artwork. The\ninstallation of the artwork will be done on August 25 th and August 26 th .

Instructions

The artists\/artisans who wish to present their artwork for this event must be a member of the Visual Arts of Gatineau\n(formerly Aylmer Arts Council) or must bring their membership fee (one year) and (non-refundable) when submitting\ntheir artwork in order to be considered by the selection committee or the exhibition, whichever is the case.
Annual\nmemberships of $35 are renewed after October 1st and $25 for new members).

Art presented by the artist\/artisan must be recent, original, and unique work: Painting, mixed media,\nclay\/ceramic, sculpture \u2013 metal, wood, fiber, glass, photography, printmaking, drawing, other fine-artwork.
Plagiarism of\nis prohibited as well as copies and reproductions of any kind (incl. gicl\u00e9es). All artwork in this exhibition will be\npresented in a professional manner. Prohibited are unframed paintings (excluding gallery type canvasses and very large canvasses \u2013 contemporary style - where the sides have been painted). AVG reserves the right to refuse all artwork which does not conform to these conditions and to this year\u2019s theme \u201cForces of Nature\u201d and to the limited gallery space of the Centre Culturel which is graciously provided by the City of Gatineau.

\u25baPlease note that the invitation card will be available to us via e-mail only. The City of Gatineau will provide the\ninvitation to the exhibition\u2019s opening before August 27th 2025. This will allow you time to send it to your guests.
