Objective<\/b> : Create a large, personal work (24 x 36 or 30 x 40) in which a figurative subject gradually emerges from an abstract background, experimenting with a different technique each week. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Structure of each course: <\/span>1.5 hours:<\/b> Exploration of a new technique on paper or a small canvas and <\/span>1.5 hours:<\/b> : Free and personal application of this technique on the large canvas.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Week 1 \u2013 Letting Go & Abstract Background: Technique<\/b> free-flowing gestures, non-traditional tools (sponges, scrapers, etc.) <\/span>Objective<\/b> : create a lively and expressive background without expectations.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Week 2 \u2013 Material & Texture: Technique<\/b> : Texture paste, gesso, collage. <\/span>Objective<\/b> : add depth, create visual and tactile focal points.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Week 3 \u2013 Inks & Fluidity: Technique<\/b> : acrylic ink, colors, washes. <\/span>Objective<\/b> : play with movement, transparency and the unexpected.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Week 4 \u2013 Graphics & Patterns: Technique<\/b> : pencils, pastels, markers, stencils <\/span>Objective<\/b> : integrate patterns, create rhythm, personalize.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Week 5 \u2013 Observation & Subject: Technique<\/b> : sketch of a face, animal or symbol inspired by the painting. <\/span>Objective<\/b> : identify shapes and develop a figurative subject.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Week 6 \u2013 Layering & Blending: Technique<\/b> : glazing, blending, transparency with mediums. <\/span>Objective<\/b> : seamlessly integrate the subject into the background.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Week 7 \u2013 Contrasts & Structure: Technique<\/b> : shadows\/light, drybrushing, accentuation. <\/span>Objective<\/b> : add depth to the subject and composition.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Week 8 \u2013 Shimmer& Gilding: Technique<\/b> : gold leaf, metallic paint, bursts of light. <\/span>Objective<\/b> : add a precious touch, enhance certain areas.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Week 9 \u2013 Alterations & Finishing Touches<\/b> : <\/span>Technique<\/b> : free tools to choose as needed. <\/span>Objective<\/b> : balance the work, refine the details.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Week 10 \u2013 Opening & sharing: <\/b>(Presentation of the final works. Feedback on the creative process. Group discussion and celebration)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Level :<\/strong> Level: This workshop is for participants with intermediate and advanced levels.<\/strong><\/span><\/pre>\r\n

The workshop will be offered in French<\/b>, but the instructor is bilingual.<\/b><\/p>\r\n

Regarding the instructor:<\/b>\u00a0Anna Prince is a visual artist based in the Gatineau region. She holds a Bachelor's degree in visual arts and graphic design and has been working full-time as an independent artist since 2022. Deeply connected to color, her work explores intuition, emotion, and the beauty of spontaneous gesture.
