Description
The instructor will introduce basic watercolour techniques to participants new to the medium. Layering, wet-on-dry, wet-on-wet, stippling, masking, and patterning effects will be introduced.
The palette that is offered will be ten essential high quality colours, brushes and quality watercolour paper necessary for satisfying results. This course is a great beginning for those who want to have the basics to work independently at a later time.

Dates: Every Wednesday, from September 23rd to October 21st (5 weeks)
Hours: 1 pm to 4 pm
The workshop will be offered in French, but the instructor is bilingual.

All other didactic material will be provided and payable to the instructor ($60) at the first workshop for those participants new to the medium of watercolour. If you would want a kit, please inform the instructor a week before the first course date by email at girardportolio@gmail.com.
Regarding the instructor: Linda Girard is an art educator, watercolourist and artisan that has taught ages 8-80 years of age. She uses an impressionist style with a heavy emphasis on texture and a minimalist use of brushstroke. She promotes small sketches to develop watercolor skills to increase facility in the medium.
