« Magnificent, majestic, intriguing, the forces of nature are uncontrollable, and they sometimes unleash themselves with an intensity that we did not know they had. Convinced that art is a powerful means to give us the desire to act and ensure that we must at all costs preserve this world in peril, the artist of the group Arts visuels de Gatineau gives to us see, to think and to feel, in varied works, what it is urgent to take the full measure; the splendour of what surrounds us, the beauties of nature but also its austerity, its violence and its precariousness.”

please read the following information very carefully
Due to space limitations at Pierre-Debain - Centre Culturel, members will be limited to present one two-dimensional artwork for hanging on its walls. Also, members will be allowed more than one three-dimensional artwork which is normally placed on a pedestal. All exhibited artwork must be original and recent, and illustrate the theme of this current exhibition " Forces of Nature ";
► The artists/artisans is required to pay $5 for the artwork presented.
► The artists/artisans must bring their artwork for the jury selection. (see below for more information)
It is preferable to communicate with us by E-mail to confirm your intention to participate in this exhibition before the drop-off date of your artwork.

Details regarding the submission of works will be communicated to you before June.
All other information pertaining to the selection of the artwork, the pick-up (if not chosen), the installation will be provided to you before June.
Rules
The artist/artisan who wishes to present their artwork for this event must be a member of Arts visuels de Gatineau. If you are not a member kindly visit our webpage to become one: https://artsvisuelsgatineau.com/en/devenir-membre/ Annual memberships are renewed before October 1stier October)
Art presented by the artist/artisan must be original work and unique. Painting, mixed media, clay/ceramic, sculpture – metal, wood, fiber, glass, photography, printmaking, drawing, other fine artwork. Plagiarism of any kind is prohibited as well as copies and reproductions of any kind (incl. giclées) All artworks in this exhibition will be presented in a professional manner. Prohibited are unframed paintings (excluding gallery type canvasses and very large canvasses – contemporary style - where the sides have been painted). AVG reserves the right to refuse all artwork which does not conform to these conditions and to this year’s theme “Forces of nature” and to the limited gallery space of the Centre Culturel which is graciously provided by the City of Gatineau.
