Description
A one-day workshop. Creation of a felted wool scarf (wet technique, using water).
After a few basic notions about wool and ancestral felting techniques, participants will learn how to correctly lay down the fibers to ensure uniform felting of their scarf. Demonstrations followed by the step-by-step creation by each participant of a pre-felt and then a felted wool scarf. Each participant will leave with a scarf and a few tools with which to continue experimenting.

The wool needed and most of the materials needed for felting wool (reference notes, veiling, bubble wrap and plain plastic, etc.) will be provided and payable to the instructor ($50) at the day of the workshop. à l’instructeur lors du cours.
After registration you will receive an e-mail, where you will be asked to choose 2 colours of wool for your scarf and a list of materials to be brought along will be provided (such as aprons, etc.).
The instructor: Denise Bernard : je m’intéresse aux fibres textiles depuis l’enfance. Après une période d’intégration des fibres textiles à l’aquarelle, je pratique le feutre depuis une quinzaine d’années (feutre à l’aiguille, feutre en technique mouillée et feutre nuno). Je suis particulièrement intéressée par ce qu’on appelle l’art portable (wearable arts).
