Claire Morissette will introduce us to Caroline Monnet, an international artist born and raised in our region..
Of Indigenous descent on her mother's side and French on her father's, Caroline Monnet is a contemporary artist from the Outaouais. With over 50 solo exhibitions and 60 group exhibitions to her credit, she enjoys considerable visibility both in Canada and internationally. Through her films and visual arts practice, she explores social issues such as assimilation, Indigenous identity, the housing crisis, and the environment, while also conveying messages of hope and pride.
