Description As part of the 70th anniversary of Gatineau Visual Arts, we offer monthly presentations. Our artists, our guests talk about their passions, their backgrounds, their interests, and their careers.

Ms. Louise Isabelle will give a presentation on Japanese prints from their origins to the present day. Her lecture will provide a historical overview of Japanese prints, their evolution, and their influences from their beginnings to the 20th century. We will see how these works, so closely linked to the Japanese people, have managed to shed light on the fascinating past of this country and to revolutionize Western artists and their conception of beauty.

Format: A PowerPoint presentation of photographs with commentary by the presenter.

Level : This presentation is for all levels.

Regarding the presenter: First and foremost an art lover, Louise Isabelle is retired from the health field and holds a degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Montreal.
