Description
This course offers watercolourists already familiar with the medium an opportunity to extend their pallette, greater brush techniques while selecting more challenging subject matter that will offer practice on people, places and things using various more advanced techniques. It also offers the participants an opportunity to explore interpreting their own images using these techniques. Works in watercolour will include more freer, abstractions and be inspired by photos that participants select themselves.

Location : Chalet Jean-Chénier, 515 Jean-Chénier Street (Aylmer Sector)
Dates: Every Wednesday, from October 28th to November 25th (5 weeks)
Hours: 1 pm to 4 pm
The workshop will be offered in French, but the instructor is bilingual.

2H graphite pencil, eraser and ruler
Hair dryer (optional)
Personal watercolour supplies will not be offered to participants as they have already collected the necessary supplies. If participants need a kit, please inform the instructor a week before the first course date by email at girardportfolio@gmail.com
Regarding the instructor: Linda Girard is an art educator, watercolourist and artisan that has taught ages 8-80 years of age. She uses an impressionist style with a heavy emphasis on texture and a minimalist use of brushstroke. She promotes small sketches to develop watercolor skills to increase facility in the medium.
